Expert CCMA representation for employees. We handle referrals, conciliation, arbitration and everything in between — at no upfront cost.
The Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) is a statutory body established under the Labour Relations Act 66 of 1995. It resolves workplace disputes between employers and employees — free of charge to both parties.
The first step. A CCMA Commissioner facilitates a settlement between parties. Legal representation is generally not allowed. We prepare you thoroughly.
If conciliation fails, the case proceeds to arbitration — a formal hearing with evidence and witnesses. An award is issued within 14 days.
Conciliation and arbitration on the same day. If you are served with a Con-Arb notice, you must be fully prepared. We handle this for you.
You have 30 calendar days from the date of dismissal (or employer's final decision) to refer. Includes weekends and public holidays.
You have 90 days from the date of the unfair act or omission to refer to the CCMA.
Unfair discrimination disputes must be referred within 6 months of the discriminatory act.
